OTT platform Amazon prime video finally unveiled something attractive which will give Netflix a good run. Now, on Amazon Prime, you and your family members can finally have your own separate recommendations, watch history, season progress and watch list.
Although this is not the center of attraction for Amazon Prime. However, its subscribers can now create up to 6 profiles. At the time of creating accounts, you can dedicate accounts to your kids as well which comes with an avatar that exists by default.
A new profile created can’t be removed except for the primary one. All the profiles have different color avatars which are unchangeable for now.
This is something great for Prime video subscribers. Previously Amazon did allow users to link 2 accounts as part of an Amazon Household, though that was hardly ideal. You can’t log in to multiple Prime Video account on shared devices.
In the US, a yearly subscription of Amazon Prime Video costs around ₹8,900 a year, in India, it’s quite affordable, with ₹999 a year. Now wit profile, Amazon Prime Video is now a better family OTT platform.
Although, Prime Video profiles are available in selected countries and if you’re seeing the change, don’t wait and get things done! Profile creation and its management are supported on Android, iSO, Fire Tablets, Prime’s app on Fire TV (for India only), Chromecast and some select Apple TVs and browsers.
