With consumers relying more and more on OTT platforms for their entertainment, Apple has come up with a new platform called Apple TV+, which is all set to switch things up in this industry. According to the company, Apple TV+ will host shows by some of the most creative minds across the world, including Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, JJ Abrams, Steven Spielberg, Jason Momoa, and more. Subscribers will be offered a range of stories with emotional depth and extremely compelling characters that the brand thinks they won’t get enough of.

Apple’s senior VP of Internet Software and Services commented on this development. He said “We’re honored that the absolute best lineup of storytellers in the world — both in front of and behind the camera — is coming to Apple TV+,” He also elaborated by saying “We’re thrilled to give viewers a sneak peek of Apple TV+ and cannot wait for them to tune in starting this fall. Apple TV+ will be home to some of the highest quality original storytelling that TV and movie lovers have seen yet.”

Along with this announcement, Apple also debuted the Apple TV App, where subscribers can enjoy a range of content across multiple streaming devices. Subscribers can also pick and choose the channels they want to subscribe to, for instance, HBO. Based on the kind of content that the viewer watches the most, Apple TV will also offer smart suggestions regarding more than 150 streaming apps that the viewer should explore. It will also be home to the same content that is already offered on iTunes.

The company has not announced its pricing yet, but we are expecting premium price ranges, considering the fact that this is Apple and nothing they offer comes cheap. The service should be available by autumn this year.
