The Dindigul Thalappakatti Biriyani hotel is well known for its traditional taste and style of biriyani. It is the famous Food chain in south India. It attracts Investors with its rapid growth. It is funded by the Private equity firm CX Partners with the fund of INR 260 Cr. 

Roots of this biriyani Hotel can be traced way back to 1957 in Tamil Nadu. Thalappakatti Biriyani Hotel was founded by the Mr. Nahasamy Naidu under the name of Anandha Vilas Biriyani Hotel in Dindigul. Current time is managing By Mr. Sathish D. Nagasamy. Mr. Naidu always wore Thalapa(a turban or traditional headdress) which over the years become synonymous with his brand and unique taste and style of cooking, due these people gave him a nickname “Thalappakatti Naidu”. 

This would eventually become a Brand Name and also the restaurant. 

Mr. Naidu was very conscious related to the taste and ingredients of the Biriyani so that, he takes care of all the ingredients by themselves. They use Seeraga Samba rice which is known as Parakkum Situ and using top class Cattle breed for obtaining Meat from the famous market of Kannivadi and Paramathi. 

It h a huge chain of 65 outlets, seven of which are overseas and willing to increase 200 outlets in the next three years. they have a huge customer base of 3 million people. They serve average 500,000 Mouthwatering biriyanis every day of the people of Chennai, Dindigul, Bengaluru, Palani, Madurai, Karur, Coimbatore, Bathlagundu, Oddanchatram, Karur, Kanchipuram, Ambur, Namakkal, Tiruchirapalli, Theni, Pondicherry, Dharapuram, Nagercoil, Vilupuram, Dubai, Paris, Sri-Lanka, Malaysia, USA and more. It has more than 2000 employees. 

They are willing to invest funds in its Technology functions of quality control and enhance there CRM and ERP to target consumers better. They want to attract more customers towards there restaurants and make a strong presence in metro cities through increasing no of their stores. They have issues in reaching a few areas related to delivery services, So they are focusing on Direct Food Delivery were its partners have low penetration.
