A new app logo and a splash screen, the company seems to have moved on from its black and green theme to a more blue-ish theme.
Hotstar is gearing up for the launch of Disney Plus in the Indian market. The entertainment giant owns Star India and by extension Hotstar.
The company revealed that it is planning to revamp the Hotstar app to bring it closer to the Disney Plus app in terms of the user interface. While Disney Plus in India is set to launch, the company will also rebrand different subscription plans in India.
After Netflix bringing the subscription plans to dirt cheap prices, the OTT platform has not left much for other players to play with the prices. But for Disney app, the team is looking forward to playing with the kind of movies and TV shows on its platform.
As a part of revamping, Disney will bring its content to Hotstar including Marvel, Disney and Star Wars catalog. Disney Plus has service has already been launched in some parts across the globe.
Coming back to the pricing of Disney Plus in India, there is not much to comment on. Disney and Hotstar did not reveal the pricing of any of its existing plans. In the US, Disney Plus subscribers are charged $6.99 on a monthly basis which is approximately ₹500 in India.
What Is So Special About Disney Plus in India?
There is something special about India which every corporate from overseas seems to love it. This is diversity Then secondly, if it is coming from Disney, it is definitely got to catch all the hype and eyes it deserves.

Disney Plus Hotstar will treat Indian users with Disney’s original content like Star-Wars (as mentioned above), the Mandalorian along with some Marvels originals like Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Marvels might be the gamechanger for Disney Plus in India. From a 10-year old kid to a 30-year-old adult, everybody likes Marvels. Some like because of its amazing heroes; some like because of its surprising plots and twists.
