FAU-G Launch on 26 Jan: Next Big Brand

The online gaming industry saw exponential growth in the last 2 years. Recently Jiogames and Mediatek also announced 70 days online event to cash the popularity of online gaming. Since the ban of PUBG in India, similar online games are launched to attract the PUBG user base. FAU-G is one such game that was announced as soon as the PUBG ban news became public.

FAU-G Launch and other Details

FAU-G (Fearless And United Guards) is going to be launched on 26 January 2020. The news came from the official Twitter handle of Akshay Kumar. With the announcement date, makers also launched the game anthem. 98 seconds game anthem is totally based on the latest Line of Actual Control(LAC) dispute between India and China. The beginning of the anthem where an Indian soldier beats an invader and shouting the line, ” Meri dharti te paer vi na paana” gives goosebumps and a national pride feeling.

Akshay Kumar, the brand ambassador and the main person behind FAU-G, had earlier announced that the game is fully dedicated to the Indian Army. Not only a tribute to the army but 20% of earning from the game will directly go to “Bharat Ke Veer Trust”. The trust is an initiative of the Home Ministry of India to collect funds for the betterment of the Indian Army.

No dedicated website has been launched related to FAUG. All the game-related information is available only through the official website of nCore Games who is developing FAU-G. nCore Games is a Bangalore based leading Mobile Games and Interactive Entertainment Company.

Pre-registrations are open for FAU-G through Google Play Store. As per the reports, more than one million users have registered for the game within 24 hours of its pre-registration announcement. Registered users can download and install the game on their android devices on 26 Jan. Size of the game will vary according to the android device. there is still no news about the availability of the game for iOS users.

Is FAU-G the same as PUBG?

FAU-G announcement came in the month of September 2020 when PUBG mobile was banned in India. Earlier people believed that it’s totally based on the concept of PUBG but the makers denied it. PUBG was played on a battle royal mode. On the other hand, FAU-G is totally an action game based Indian Army’s fighting stories against the enemies.

Since the first episode of the FAU-G is totally dedicated to the Galwan Valley conflict, it is expected that the game will bring more inspirational stories of the Indian Army.

From the beginning, The makers of FAU-G are banking on the Government of India’s initiatives like ‘Make in India’, ‘Atamnirbhar Bharat’, and ‘Vocal for Local’.

Competitor of FAU-G

Without a doubt, PUBG mobile India will be the main competitor of FAU-G. Relaunch news of PUBG mobile India is circulating through different media portals for the last few months. PUBG mobile team has distanced itself from China-based Gaming Company Tencent. The team has also promised about the data security of Indian users. Under the data security initiative, PUBG India has signed an agreement with Microsoft for Azure Cloud Computing service. They are waiting for the Government’s approval to relaunch. It is expected that the PUBG mobile relaunch may take place at the end of the first quarter of 2020.

Once PUBG relaunches, then it will be interesting to see how it will compete with FAU-G to regain its old user base.
