2020 was a tough year for both individuals and businesses. Whether a company is having a billion-dollar operation or it is a startup, all of them faced unique challenges. In that challenging time, we also saw the growth and innovations by a few of the personalities and businesses.
Some young entrepreneurs and professionals of different areas showed a strong will power to convert pandemic into an opportunity. Class of 30 under 30 2021 is a name given by Forbes India to the list of extraordinary achievers in different fields. It includes 30 top personalities under the age of 30 who have inspired millions of youngsters to do something better.
Importance of Class of 30 under 30 2021
Some of these achievers helped the country in the covid emergency. Piyush Verma, CEO, and founder of Manush Lab helped tier 2 city youngsters to fulfill their entrepreneurship dreams through a platform of mentorship and guidance. Other than mentorship, Manush lab is also providing funding to the startups of these people.
On the other hand, Classplus edtech startup founders helped the children to get access to quality education through a mobile app.
The list also includes a young cricketer Shubhman Gill who shot to fame with his extraordinary batting skills in the concluded IPL. He is also the youngest in the list of 30 achievers with 21 years of age.

Forget about IPL, India won a test series against mighty Australia in Australia. Cricket lovers and Cricket pundits consider this victory a historical one. He scored 91 runs in the deciding test match of Brisbane. His batting efforts helped India to chase the target easily.
All 30 achievers have such tremendous stories to tell. Like every year, it was very difficult for the Forbes team to chose one of the highest achievers from every sector.
How Forbes India Selects these 30 Young Achievers?
The selection process of this list is quite rigorous. Forbes India follows three steps:
First – the Forbes India team interviews the relevant sources related to every category for knowing the latest happening of that sector. The team also do handy research on media coverage and database access to know the relevant applicants.
Second- Forbes India invites online application and nominations from the young achievers who fits the criteria.
Third- spreading the word over social media to finalize an initial list in more than 20 categories.
Then, the team starts reducing the list to reach the real top 30 achievers for 2020. Forbes team debates, argues for reaching the final decision. The process is lengthy and difficult to choose just one or two from a specific category.
The team considered only those candidates who were under the age of 30 on 31 December 2020. Suppose an organization had two co-founders but one of them is having an age of more than 30, then another cofounder will be eligible for the achievers’ list.
