Havas Group today announced its third acquisition of the first and most successful experiential agency in India in 2019–Shobiz. Founded in 1982, Shobiz is considered an experiential space pioneer and has grown steadily and consistently to employ more than 300 professionals across its five Indian offices.
Headquartered in Mumbai, Shobiz is a multidisciplinary experiential marketing organization providing from design to commissioning and final reporting an integrated service range. The strengths of the firm include strategic planning, communication & web creation, artistic, architectural and graphic design, acquisition of markets, production, and logistics. The Shobiz portfolio has over 142 recurring clients.
Although Sameer Tobaccowala, CEO, Shobiz, and Vishnu Mohan Chairman & CEO, Havas Group India & South East Asia will continue to oversee the company, the day-to-day operations will be led by Tejpal Singh Patpatia COO Shobiz, who will report to Rana Barua, CEO of Havas Group India, leading to seamless integration for both entities.
With Shobiz’s acquisition, Havas Group completes its third acquisition in India in just one year, demonstrating the determination and aim of the Group to extend its size and experience in India with a focus on exponential growth, new business momentum, and leading teams on the Indian market ready for the future.
In May this year, Havas Group acquired Think Design, India’s leading user experience consultancy, and design, followed by the acquisition of a full-service digital agency led and powered in September this year by innovative technologists.
