A company is just a company (out of many) if it does not have an effective CEO. It’s their vision/mission and a set of strategies that takes the company to the sky limit.
A report rolled out by Brand Finance highlights a list of top 500 global CEOs. In this article, we will take you through top 10 CEOs of the world.

1. Marillyn Adams Hewson (Lockheed Martin Corporation)
Chairwoman, President & CEO of Lockheed Martin Corporation is an American global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technologies company with a plethora of interests. Headquartered in North Bethesda, Maryland, in the Washington, DC Area.
She joined the Lockheed Corporation in 1983 and since then she has held various executive positions in the company. In 2013, it was announced that Marillyn will be the CEO and since 2010 she has been as one of the board of directors for Sandia National Laboratories, DuPont since 2007.
After becoming CEO in 2013, Lockheed’s market cap has only doubled and presently stands at $119.72 billion. Hewson credits her mother’s resilience, hard work, and determination by teaching her leadership skills.
It’s disrespectful if we don’t mention her achievements and awards. Recently, Hewson was named as CEO of the Year 2018 by Chief Executive magazine & was a member of the selection committee for 2019. In 2018, Hewson was also awarded the Edison Achievement Award for her leadership and achievements in making a lasting contribution to the world of innovation.

2. Bernard Arnault (Louis Vuitton)
For all the mesmerizing high-end bags, belts and accessories, we need to thank Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault, French billionaire fascinated a lot by art. Arnault is the chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE – world’s largest luxury-goods company.
From 1998 to 2001, he invested in a number of companies like Boo.com, Libertysurf & Zebank through its holding, Europatweb. He has also invested in Netflix in 1999.
In 2008, he entered the yacht business and bought Princess Yachts for 253 million euros. Talking about his art collection, his collection includes work done by Picasso, Yves Klein, Henry Moore & Andy Warhol.
The richest person in the fashion industry, definitely deserves a spot in the list of top 10 global CEOs.
3. Michael S. Dell (Dell Technologies)
Our 3rd CEO in the list of top 10 global CEOs, Michael S.Dell got his first computer, an Apple II which he immediately disassembled to see how the machine works. Then he got a job as a dishwasher at the age of 12 and within months he was promoted there.
Dell started an informal business putting together and selling upgrade kits for personal computers in room 2713 of Dobie Canter. Then he applied for a vendor license to bid on contractors for Texas state. This is how Dell – one of the biggest companies in the world started off.
4, Ma Huteng (Tencent)
A Chinese business tycoon, investor, politician, and philanthropist. He serves as CEO at Tencent – Asia’s most valuable company & one of the largest internet technology companies, biggest gaming and entertainment companies in the world.
5. Tim Cook (Apple)
The man and this company need to the introduction at all. Tim joined Apple in March 1998 as senior vice president for worldwide operations and then served as executive vice president for sales & operations. He was made the CEO on 24th August 2011 before Job’s death in October the same year.
6. Christopher J. Nassetta (Hilton)
Let’s thank him for our comfortable stays anywhere we go! Christopher is at number 6 in the top 10 CEOs globally. Hilton is headquartered in Tysons, Corner, Virginia.
As of 31st March 2019, its portfolio includes 5,757 properties with 923,110 rooms across 113 countries and territories, including 689 that are merged and 4,947 that are franchised, with the combined managed and franchised properties having a total of 893494 rooms, in addition to 68 that owned and leased.
7. Wilmot Reed Hastings Jr. (Netflix)
Co-founder, Chairman & CEO of Netflix and serves on a number of boards and non-profit organizations. Netflix has elevated as one of the best OTT platforms globally.
While Netflix on the list of top global platforms, Reed by default occupies 7th spot in the top 10 global CEOs.
8. Satya Narayana Nadella (Microsoft)
With his leadership, Satya took Microsoft over a $200 billion market cap. The only Indian in the list of top 10 CEOs globally, he was born to build great things. In his leadership, Microsoft is flying high and it has no plans to stop or to even slow down.
9. Arne M. Sorenson (Marriott)
Sorenson is the 1st person outside the Mariott family to lead the company. On 31st March 2012, Sorenson became president and CEO of Marriott International Inc. Arne M. began his term as CEO with a trip to Brazil to inspect Mariott facilities there.
In April 2019, he was tagged as CEO of the year.
10. Akio Toyoda (Toyota)
Standing strong at number 10 in on the list of 10 global CEOs is Akio Toyota. a Japanese business executive and the current president of Toyota Motor Corporation. He is the great-grandson of the father of the Japanese industrial revolution, as well as being both the grandson of the founder of Toyota Motors and the founder of the Takashimaya department stores corporation.
