It has been a very productive week for the Indian startup ecosystem. Ola and Pine Labs raised $500 million and $315 million respectively in the past week where $1.33 billion was invested in 26 startups. Overall, 34 startups raised funding this week. Eight startups did not disclose the funding amount.
Let’s have a look at the startups, investors, and the funding amount collected from 5 July to 10 July.
Top Fund Raising Startups
Ola: online cab service giant Ola hit the jackpot with a $500 million funding raise from giant investors Temasek, Warburg Pincus. After getting approval from the Competition Commission of India(CCI), Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal also invested an undisclosed amount in his capacity.
Furlenco: The rising furniture rental firm raised $140 million in one of the major funding events of the week. The funding raise was a mix of debt and equity. Zinnia Global led the funding round and existing investors including CE-Ventures and Lightbox Ventures also took part in the Series D round.
Pine Labs: Online and offline payment collection service provider fintech firm Pine Labs has closed a funding round of $315 million. The merchant commerce platform already received $285 million of funding in May 2021. Overall, it raised $600 million in a single funding round organized on different dates.
Spinny: Old car retailing platform Spinny welcomed Tiger Global as an investor with a funding raise of $108 million in the Series D financing event. Earlier, it raised $65 million in a Series C round during April 2021.
DealShare: second-tier cities oriented grocery focussed social commerce firm has raised $144 million in a new funding round led by Tiger Global, a New York-based investor.
Shiprocket: As the name suggests, Shiprocket helps e-commerce firms in delivering the products on time. It has raised $41.3 million in a series D1 round led by PayPal Ventures, the corporate VC arm of PayPal. Up to now, it has raised $94.3 million in different financing events.
Vahak: Transport-based recently launched startup Vahak has collected $5 million in its pre-Series A event led by RTP Global. Leo Capital and Luxor Capital also participated in the concluded funding raise event.
Teachmint: Virtual classroom service enabler Teachmint raised $20 million in its pre-series B round with the help of existing investor Learn Capital and CM Ventures.
Infra.Market: Construction materials service provider startup Infra. The market has closed a $13.4 million funding event as venture debt from Alteria Capital.
Other Disclosed and Undisclosed Fund Raising Firms
Genworks Health($2 million), BeatO($5.65 million), CRMNEXT($16 million), Earth Rhythm($1.2 million), and Fountain9($1.9 million), are other major startups that closed the new funding rounds.
Leegality, Arcatron Mobility, PeakPerformer, Pocketly, CanPe, Codedamn, Biocraft, and CoRover did not reveal their financial details of the closed funding events of this week.
