What makes a place great to work?

Think for a moment-  What would make you feel most excited to get to work in the morning, and most loyal to your employer. The sort of company you would have in mind would:

  • Willing to give all employees a stake in the company’s success
  • Design work environments that are comfortable, safe and appealing to work in
  • Define specific and clear expectations for what success looks like
  • Create policies that encourage employees.
  • Stand for something beyond simply increasing profits

And many such points that would make a place great to work at. On a similar note, every year, more than ten thousand organizations from over fifty-eight countries partner Great Place to Work® Institute for assessment, benchmarking and planning actions to strengthen their workplace culture. They also rank the companies according to the countries they are functioning from.

The institute also considers whether an organization that has met the criteria defined by the Institute on employee experience and people practices is also a ‘Great Place to Work for ALL’ i.e all employees in the organization irrespective of their tenure, age, gender, role, etc. are experiencing a great workplace culture.
