ITC Swiggy Food Delivery- Next Big Brand

  • ITC Hotels has linked up with Swiggy, an online food delivery company, to list and deliver a curated set of dishes from across its properties.
  • Swiggy will follow the ‘no-touch’ deliveries on all prepaid orders, with a delivery partner leaving the food at the doorstep rather than an exchange in person, ITC said in the statement.

ITC Hotels has linked up with Swiggy, an online food delivery company, to list and deliver a curated set of dishes from across its properties as the hotel group hopes to reach Indian diners at a time when restaurants remain closed for dinner.

ITC will offer ‘curated menus’ to Swiggy users in most of India’s major cities, bringing local dinner offers from a region, the company said in a statement Friday.

ITC will launch home delivery from several properties including ITC Maurya (New Delhi), ITC Royal Bengal (Kolkata), ITC Grand Chola (Chennai), ITC Gardenia (Bengaluru), ITC Windsor (Bengaluru), ITC Kohenur (Hyderabad), ITC Rajputana (Jaipur), ITC Grand Goa (Goa), and Welcomhotel.

ITC Maurya, for example, will turn up in Delhi for Swiggy users.

Aside from paninis, burgers, and baked vegetables, the dishes listed on Swiggy span Paneer Makhani to Rarra Gosht in the main course. There is also a section about dessert and bread.

ITC Hotels and Welcomhotel properties will subsequently be added to the house delivery initiative.

ITC has already rolled out fast takeaways from its assets, but through Swiggy aims to make deliveries more convenient and touch a broader range of customers.

Swiggy will follow the ‘no-touch’ deliveries on all prepaid orders, with a delivery partner leaving the food at the doorstep rather than an exchange in person, ITC said in the statement.

“Special training programs are conducted by the current requirements, and precautions for personal, social, and workplace awareness and practice are explained to all associates. We re-engineer our guest experiences (including digital ordering and e-payment solutions) with zero / low associate participation. The collaboration with Swiggy will help us offer our exclusive gastronomic experiences responsibly using their advanced distribution network, “said Anil Chadha, Chief Operating Officer (COO), ITC Hotels in the release.

Through the Swiggy app, customers will be able to indulge in customized gourmet dishes from renowned ITC Hotels Chain restaurants across India, Vivek Sunder, COO, Swiggy said.
