In his first tweet, Jack Ma posted photos of a China Eastern Airlines plane with boxes of coronavirus test kits and face masks to be shipped and donated to the US from Shanghai.

CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey retweeted his post, welcoming him to the platform. After being the wealthiest person in Asia, Jack Ma joins twitter to stay close to the world of the internet and engage more with people.

“All the best to our friends in America,” he wrote which gave the post more than 3.5K retweets and 20K likes in the 1st hour soon after posting. In just an hour, Jack Ma’s Twitter was flooded with 10K followers.

The Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation on Friday announced that they have prepared some 500,000 testing kits and 1 million masks for the US people. The giant has already shipped supplies in Japan, South Korea, Italy, and Spain – countries affected with coronavirus outbreak.

“Drawing from my own country’s experience, speedy and accurate testing and adequate personal protective equipment for medical professionals are most effective in preventing the spread of the virus” – Jack Ma added.

It’s not only about Jack Ma joins Twitter, but its also about initiatives taken and proper utilization of social media platforms. With 60K followers in very little time, we can’t imagine how big the account is going to be.
