Technology giant Microsoft India has shown Randstad Employer Brand Research 2020 by HR company Randstad is the most attractive employer brand in the world.
Samsung India stood in second place here while Amazon India came in sixth. Infosys came in fourth while Mercedes Benz came seventh.
Microsoft India ranked high on financial safety, a good reputation, and the use of the latest technology, according to the report.
The Randstad Employer Brand Survey, which covers 75 percent of the global economy with 33 participating countries and more than 1,85,000 respondents worldwide, found that the work-life balance (43 percent) emerged as the Indian workforce ‘s top employer value proposition (EVP) engine in 2020 when selecting an employer.
This is accompanied by competitive salaries and benefits for workers (41 percent), and job security (40 percent). There are also places where there is a substantial difference between what workers want and what they think employers in India are offering.
In 2019, following on from Microsoft and Sony, Amazon became India’s most desirable employer brand. Mercedes Benz was fourth while IBM came in seventh.
This year it is important to note that the top two EVP drivers do not have gender gaps. All male and female respondents attributed equal importance to work-life balance (43 percent) and competitive salaries and workplace benefits (41 percent) as the main factors in selecting an employer.
However, when selecting an employer, more men (40 percent) regarded work security as a main factor than women (39 percent).
A higher proportion of male respondents (36 percent) have attached more importance to career development opportunities than their female counterparts (33 percent).
While the job market is experiencing a paradigm change, Paul Dupuis, MD & CEO Randstad India said this work is critical right now amid COVID-19.
“It is ever more important that companies need to change their workplace branding proposition to make it more ‘fair’ in the modern world of work,” he said.
