The year 2021 has been a blockbuster for Indian startups in terms of funding and unicorns. Mindtickle, a sales growth-based tech startup, has become the 20th unicorn of 2021 after raising $100 million led by Softbank Vision Fund 2.
Softbank Invest $100 Million in Mindtickle
Softbank, the Japan-based investor, has accelerated its pace in terms of investment in the Indian startup ecosystem. In the latest investment, the firm has led a funding round of $100 million in Mindtickle, a Pune and San Francisco-based sales-oriented tech firm.
The funding news was confirmed by Mindtickle. The startup also revealed that it has reached a valuation of $1.2 billion after closing a series E funding round. The startup was valued at around $600 million in the last financing event in November 2020. Twenty startups have joined the unicorn club within seven months and five days of 2021, while only eleven Indian startups crossed the $1 billion mark in the whole of 2020.
Existing investors including Norwest Venture Partners, Canaan, NewView Capital, and Qualcomm Ventures also actively participated in the current funding event. Mindtickle has also confirmed that it has raised $281 million in different funding rounds to date.
The startup was founded in 2011 by Krishna Depura, Deepak Diwakar, and Nishant Mungali founded the startup in 2011 to help the business firms in growing their sales to achieve the revenue target.
Demand for Sales Readiness Technology
The Indian startup ecosystem has shown tremendous growth in terms of developing and adopting new technologies for business upliftment. In recent months, demand for sales readiness technologies and conversion intelligence market. As per the latest reports, Sales enablement technologies will grow to $4.23 billion by 2027, while the conversation intelligence market will be worth $13 billion by 2025.
Mindtickle, the sales tech-oriented firm, believes that these two areas will play a major role in the coming days in terms of revenue growth. In the coming days, startups will implement both these technologies together to surge their revenue in a limited time.
