On Friday, Japan’s Miniso retail company and major e-commerce Amazon announced a partnership whereby the former would sell their goods on the internet platform beginning with the upcoming’ Great Indian Festival.’
On the amazon.in, the e-commerce platform said in a statement, the retailer will start with products in the kitchen, home and beauty categories.
Shalini Puchalapalli, Director of Category Management, Amazon India, commented on the partnership: “We are excited to partner with Miniso and offer a wide range of selections to customers on Amazon.in. During the Great Indian Festival, customers can look forward to a wide range of products from the best brands on Amazon.in.’
Siddharth Venkataraman, CEO of Achhacart, responsible for Miniso’s sales in India, said: “Customers would be able to buy all their favorite Miniso products online this festive season with Amazon’s customer experience assurance.”‘

Recently, Chinese designer lifestyle brand MINISO, announced 100 stores-in-India milestone yesterday at an event at Pullman Hotel in Aerocity. The 100 store landmark celebration was rather a closed-door event that was and was attended by more than 180 brands’ partners from across the subcontinent. MINISO has been operating in India for the last two years and has shown a rampant growth in terms of establishing its presence across the entirety of the Indian geography. It currently has 106 stores across 43 + Indian cities. It has a wide range of products, some of which are manufactured in India also. The brand has also partnered with key global IP’s like Marvel, Pink Panther, Cartoon Network, We Bare Bear, etc. to further enhance brand recognition in the market. These collaborations have accelerated a holistic image up-gradation of MINISO products globally.
With most of the retailers moving online along with brick-and-mortar store, this seems a very wise partnership given the consumer base of Amazon and their level of operation with the upcoming festive season too.
