Reliance Brands provides a wide range of fashion products in the fashion industry. The company has appointed Navin Gurnaney as CEO for a new food and hospitality firm the organization is going to start soon. Navin recently resigned from Starbucks India’s CEO post.
Gurnaney Announces the Reliance Brand Journey
Gurnaney announced this news of Reliance position through its LinkedIn profile on Monday. He will join Reliance Brands from May 1, 2021.
Gurnaney wrote on LinkedIn:
“I’m excited to report that on May 1st, I’ll begin a new journey! CEO, Reliance Brands-Food, best way to describe it. Reliance is about to launch a business with a diverse portfolio of very unique concepts…”
He further added that RBL is set to start new businesses in the coming days. More will be revealed later. I can’t wait to enter a dynamic environment. I am very excited to contribute to RBL.
He also praised Starbucks India. “Starbucks will always remain close to my heart. I wish for further growth for them. Sushant will continue growing Starbucks further”
When media portals contacted Reliance Brands, the company confirmed the news shared by Gurnaney. The company also said that Gurnaney will work under the leadership of Darshan Mehta. He works as president and CEO of Reliance Brands Limited(RBL). This brand firm is a subunit of Reliance Industries Limited(RIL).
About RBL Journey and Future Plans
The new firm will explore the opportunities in the food and hospitality area. RBL is known for its strong brand operations like Diesel, Armani, Superdry, and other known international brands. It is working on a total of 45 brands right now.
RBL has a total of 661 stores to sell these international brands. Reliance Retail has helped these brands to get established in India. More international brands are in touch with RBL to start their Indian journey.
Gurnaney will leave Starbucks India on April 30. He resigned earlier from the current position to look for other opportunities. Sushant Dash will take the CEO position in Starbucks India.

Gurnaney is known for its extraordinary efforts to widespread the Starbucks network in India. He not only opened new outlets but also revamped the old Starbucks portfolio.
Under his leadership, Starbucks started new products to woo customers. He also redesigned the whole outlets’ infrastructure to welcome more customers.
Last week Tata Starbucks announced the appointment of Sushant Dash as the coffee chain’s new chief executive officer in India effective 1st May.
Dash will replace Gurnaney who is set to leave the coffee chain on 30th April. The company then said Gurnaney was stepping down to pursue an opportunity outside Tata Starbucks.
