Netflix became the most searched media stream service worldwide as reported by the latest SEMrush study, the media reports said.

The online visibility management and content marketing SaaS platform have found that the search volume stands at 34,205 for Netflix.

SEMrush recently conducted a study on Amazon Prime, Tata Sky and Netflix and found that the time Netflix has announced its new subscription plan for mobiles at Rs. 199 in India, its search volume went up by 83 percent between June and July.

Amazon takes the second position with an average search of 6,878.9 which is nowhere close to its competitior.

“Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Tata Sky are the new age media services which are giving tough competition to each other. All three of these media services are significantly attracting Indian audiences for the subscription with interesting packages said Fernando Angulo, Head, International Market, SEMrush.

The reason behind the sudden jump and their pacing popularity is the launch of all mobile subscription pack. The case study said that Indian audiences are inclining towards Netflix’s subscription in the last couple of months, thanks to the cheap subscription plan.

Despite enjoying the biggest traffic volume from India, Amazon Prime has only 70 percent year-on-year growth.

The desktop traffic to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in July was 11,138,893 and 13,593,504 respectively. Both these services have grown by 36 percent in July 2019 as compared to the previous month.
