Oppo is China’s second most popular consumer electronics and mobile communications company, known primarily as a camera phone brand that is enjoyed by young people around the world, and specializes in designing innovative mobile photography technology.

After a successful launch of its R15, Oppo is set to launch it’s latest K1 in February this year, with the iconic yet affordable in-display fingerprint sensor smartphone. Flipkart, its E-commerce partner, has confirmed the same through a specially dedicated microsite, just days after posting a teaser. The same Oppo K1 model was unveiled in China back in October last year.

The Smartphone will be available in two color variants that is the Mocha Red and the Van Gogh Blue. Both these options are likely to be coming to India within the next week. In terms of connectivity, it will also have a host of options like 3G, 4G, GPS, Wifi Bluetooth capabilities. The phone will come with built-in internal storage of 64 GB that is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo K1 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo on top of ColorOS 5.2. It also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC processor under its hood, along with a 4 GB/ 6GB of RAM & Adreno 512 graphics processor that will ensure phone runs smoothly and even the most memory intensive applications show no signs of lagging.

In terms of optics, the Oppo K1 sports a dual camera set up, with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor at back along with an LED flash.

The newest Oppo device also has a whopping 25-megapixel selfie camera to make the smartphone capable enough to compete with other phones in the 20,000 INR price segment. The Oppo K1 price in India is likely to start at around 17,000 INR, seeing as the price for the same model launched in China more or less equated to somewhere between 17,000 to 19,000 INR, depending on the RAM variant of choice.

The Phone will come with a large 3600 mAh battery to support it’s 6.4-inch, 1080×2340 pixels, full-HD+ display along with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The USP of this model is its in-display fingerprint sensor and it’s 3D glass back. The phone is set to launch on February 6th, and will be giving competition to other releases this month, like the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the M30, the Vivo Apex and Vivo V15, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and its Pro version along with Redmi X, and the Motorola Moto G7.
