  • During the ongoing sales on Flipkart, customers who purchase a Realme phone can avail the Complete Mobile Protection plan only for Re. 1.

The Great Indian Festival Sale by Amazon India and the sale of the Big Billion Days by Flipkart are currently underway and is witnessing a huge amount of orders for the smartphones range. After Xiaomi and One Plus smartphones, the latest entrant in the club is Realme with over 10 lakh units sold in just 24 hours of the ongoing sale. The sale will continue until October 4.

Amazon India had previously announced Digital Bharat’s record involvement in its Great Indian Festival Sale. The e-commerce giant saw one-day record sign-ups for Prime membership and 91% of new clients came from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

The ex-Oppo sub-brand appears to be scoring high online, and like wildfire, this seems to grow further. At this 2019 Big Billion Days sale, Realme has become the best-selling smartphone brand on Flipkart.

In the months of June, July and August, the BBK-owned business was also the number one internet smartphone brand on Flipkart. On Flipkart, since June, July and August, Realme has been the bestselling smartphone brand. Realme accounted for the retailer site for 41.5 percent of smartphone revenues in August. Xiaomi came in second with 30% and Vivo came in second with 6.8% of revenues. The Chinese brand is, therefore, celebrating Flipkart’s festive sales until Oct. 4.

More than 40 percent of the smartphone sold via Flipkart accounted for Realme in August. That’s more than a third of what Xiaomi sold through Flipkart. But these are the exclusive scores of Flipkart, i.e. the number of smartphones marketed via Flipkart by separate brands. Do remember that both Mi.com and Mi Store are famous Xiaomi platforms, and from these two platforms an enormous amount of internet sales happens to them.

Realme offers a range of discounts across their full lineup of Flipkart appliances, except for just released Realme XT, but again it’s eligible for 10 percent bank discount, so they’ve got everything on sale.

Realme offers discounts on Realme 5, Realme 5 Pro, and Realme XT, all launched a couple of days ago. During the sale period, a discount of Rs 1,000 will be available on all three phones.

During the sale period, Realme is offering one year extended warranty for the buyers of Realme XT through Realme.com. During the ongoing sales on Flipkart, customers who purchase a Realme phone can avail the Complete Mobile Protection plan only for Re. 1. The reason for this is that in September, CMIR Mobile Industry Consumer Insights classified Realme as the number one quality smartphone brand. Lakhs of these phones’ units were sold out in their first shipment, and the firm is planning their next sale to line up later this month around Flipkart’s Big Billion Days. In addition, Realme is also giving discounts and offers on its earlier launched devices.

One Plus Breaks Record:

OnePlus appears to win the award on the sale of the Amazon Great Indian Festival, which began on September 29. The Chinese OEM gained some 500 crore in revenue at the end of the second day of the festive sale. Thanks to its smartphone, OnePlus 7 T and smart TV, OnePlus TV 55Q1 and other smart products.

The Oneplus Smartphone Segment:

According to Amazon.in, in the first 36 hours of the festive sale that will end on October 4, Apple, OnePlus and Samsung together sold smartphones worth 750 crores in the premium category (priced over Rs 30 000).

OnePlus launched on September 26 in the premium smartphone line-up its latest model, OnePlus 7T. OnePlus 7 T has the smoothest display on the market, 90Hz Fluid AMOLED. The Chinese OEM is planning on October 10 to launch the model’s US and European variants.

OnePlus 7 T borrows a lot from its predecessor, OnePlus 7 Pro, which was introduced this year in May. However, with respect to the screen size (6.55-inch), layout (non-reflective glass back), and triple rear cameras (16MP ultra-wide-angle camera and 12MP telephoto camera in relation to the main 48MP camera), the recent model with’ T’ suffix, suggesting certain missed-out updates with the previous edition, stood apart. It has the same Asus ROG Phone 2 processor.

OnePlus 7 T comes with two color choices, Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver, available in two versions. The base variant has a storage of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB and costs about 37,999. The upper variant has a storage capacity of 8 GB RAM and 256 GB and costs about 39,999.

The OnePlus Smart TV Segment:

A few days back, OnePlus introduced its Android TV. India is the first market to have a OnePlus smart TV. The Chinese firm is planning to launch the smart TV in the future in other markets.

The smart TV comes in two versions: OnePlus TV 55Q1 costing approximately 69,900 and OnePlus TV 55Q1 Pro costing approximately 99,900. Although not cheaper, as the firm says, they are less costly than televisions with comparable characteristics provided by Samsung and Sony.

Both OnePlus TV versions come with a 55-inch 4 K QLED display supported by Dolby Vision. Only because of the accessibility of an integrated motorized soundbar in the former, the costly variant differs from the standard model.

Smart TV Market Opportunity in India:

India is one of OnePlus’ largest markets. The nation accounts for 33% of its worldwide income. The Chinese OEM clocked sales growth of over 100 percent this year. The firm now has larger plans to reinforce its country footprint.

OnePlus plans to grow Hyderabad’s R&D centre with an investment outlay of about 1000 crore. Currently, the R&D facility has about 100 staff, which will increase fivefold following the development. With this, in the next three years, the firm intends to transform the factory into the biggest in the world.

In Q2 of 2019, a total of 69.3 million mobile devices were delivered to India, up 7.6% from the past quarter. The top five brands were Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, OPPO and Realme.
