Swiggy co-founder and chief technical officer Rahul Jaimini has resigned from the online food delivery company and will be joining as a co-founder of Pesto Tech, a career accelerator startup.
Jaimini remains a shareholder and member of Swiggy’s board.
Jaimin’s position will be realigned to Dale Vaz, Head of Engineering and Data Science at Swiggy, who has been with the company for nearly two years, including software development, analytics, IT, and labs.
Having co-founded Swiggy along with Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy in 2014, Jaimini has been responsible for building Swiggy’s technology backbone while overseeing its evolution into the complex system to deliver personalized experiences at scale.

“Technology was critical to what we set out to develop upon Swiggy’s launch. Nandan and I had not been able to ask for a better partner to deal with this aspect of the business. It was Rahul’s tremendous passion to ‘build for the billions’ that powered technical advances that differentiated Swiggy as we developed phenomenally over the years,” Swiggy co-founder and chief executive Sriharsha Majety said.
“At Swiggy the last six years were, without doubt, some of the best years. We set out with a huge mission of transforming the food supply industry and changing the way the country eats, and this made for an exciting experience … I am thankful to have had the opportunity to do just that at Swiggy and evolve tremendously over the years, “Jaimini said.
