- In just 9 years, T-Series’ YouTube channel managed to grab 100 billion views.
- No other YouTube Channel is anywhere near this number and it doesn’t seem to be overshadowed by anyone else in the coming time.
You Open YouTube and you have a plethora of videos. Videos that make you smile, cry, laugh like a baby while some videos are worth sharing. But what exactly made T-Series’ YouTube channel cross 100+ billion views?
T-Series’ YouTube channel was rolled out on the video platform in 2010 but the channel started getting all the hype and views after 2017 – smartphone and the internet era.
Between 2015 and 2018, a number of smartphones in India witnessed a jump of 25% (from 18%). But without an internet connection, a smartphone is just a phone, right?
Not to forget Reliance JIO that made the internet dirt cheap. JIO allowed smartphone users to watch any video (no matter how short or long) carefree without thinking (much) about the data limit.
Since then (rolling out JIO) T-Series’ YouTube channel witnessed an increasing number of user base! T-Series happens to be India’s one of the largest music record label.
But on YouTube, T-Series is much more than just a record label. For each and every one of us, T-Series is a close synonym of Bollywood music and T-Series’ YouTube channel, the gap has been removed by the internet. Now all of us can comfortably listen to our favorite Bollywood music anytime, anywhere!
What Makes T-Series So Popular?
The popularity of T-Series is definitely unquestionable because if any music (famous, and trending) is launched in the Bollywood world, T-Series is the artist’s first priority to get featured on the label.
Rather, the question should be what makes T-Series’ YouTube channel so popular?
Let’s keep music aside for a while and talk about its YouTube channel. One thing we will notice is that their playlist is very much sorted.
You just need to scroll down and find your favorite movie; music artist and T-Series’ YouTube channel have all the songs related to the search. This is not all, one can also listen to their favorite tunes as per year or theme (like marriage songs, party songs and much more)
And then we have music! Bekhalayi, Ek Malaal, Bala, De De Pyaar De are to name a few (out of the universe of Bollywood music).
Isn’t There Anyone That Could Match T-Series’ YouTube Channel’s Growth?
PewDiePie was expected to be a close contender here. But with never-ending hype of Bollywood music followed by PewDiePie’s undisclosed break from his YouTube channel made T-Series unbeatable.
T-Series’ subscriber base climbed to 130-million (which is not the showstopper number). But when we look at view count, anyone’s eye would pop-out with amaze and surprise.
When PewDiePie actually left YouTube, T-Series was grabbing around 2.9 billion every month. Ever since its monthly count has contributed to climbing, pushing over 3 billion in June to 3.3 billion in November 2019 to its highest month ever, 3.7 billion in January this year.
T-Series is posting 5-7 videos every-day and all of its videos are songs that T-Series has already recorded.
With merely 300 employees, 13 of them work on its YouTube business full-time. With those employees and its ever-growing catalog of songs, it has virtually limitless resources to make videos.
Bhushan Kumar – Chairman and MD of T-Series said that YouTube makes somewhere around 60-70% of its annual revenue.
T-Series’ YouTube channel has another 28 network channels which might not be as huge as T-Series’ main YouTube channel, but all of them have the required traffic and viewership:-
T-Series’ YouTube channels like –
Bhakti Sagar (27 million subscribers) grabs 400 million every month.
Pop Chartbusters (9.7 million userbases) bags 160 million views every month.
T-Series Regional (7.9 million subscriber base) grabs around 100 million views per month.
This is the power of the internet. T-Series, already a giant name in the Bollywood industry, is now giant on the internet as well.
As of now, no-body else is anywhere near this behemoth YouTube channel, but then again, we never know from where and how the next hype can come.
On behalf of Next Big Brand, we congratulate T-Series & the team behind it for bagging 100 billion views.
