It’s rival – Likee has 330+ million downloads and both of them are trying to capture people’s creativity through short videos. TikTok app is yet to roll out its monetization strategy while Instagram & Snapchat are working to try their hands-on short video hype.
TikTop witnessed a 556% year/year growth from 2018. 82% of users from China while 13% from the US contribute to generate revenue of $39 million for the app.
While the bright side of the TikTok app did well capturing its audience, but because of its brand and safety concerns, many users discontinued their services and many are still reluctant to give it a try. There was a time when there were talks about banning the TikTok app in India
