  • Retailing space globally is humongous. Practically beyond our imagination.
  • To make things simple and understandable, Deloitte rolls out an annual report of retailing space globally.

India is ranked 2nd in the Global Retail Development Index in 2019 and the retail space of the country is said to contribute not less than 10% to the country’s GDP and 8% of total employment.

If this is the scenario of India, just imagine what will be the scenario in other countries. To make things simple, Deloitte every year rolls out its Global Powers of Retailing report where analysts cover the global retailing scenario.

In its report, Deloitte tells about the top 250 retailing companies from all around the world as well as the top 50 emerging retail companies.

Today we will walk you through the world’s top 10 retailers globally and try and quote down the reasons that have made them reserve a space on the list.
