Trivago’s Abhinav Kumar Joins Paisa Dukan As A Financial Advisor

Leading online Peer To Peer (P2P) money lending marketplace Paisa Dukan on Tuesday announced that, Abhinav Kumar, who gained fame through his Trivago advertisement has joined the company as a financial advisor.

Abhinav Kumar, who is famous for his catchy advertisement line – ‘Kya Aapne Kabhi Online Hotel Search Kiya Hai?’ – has a masters degree in International Management from University of Trento, Italy and is an experienced digital marketer and financial advisor.

This is the third addition that Paisa Dukan has made to its board of advisors which includes Uttam Prakash Agrawal, an independent director at Yes Bank and V Balakrishnan a former Chief Financial Officer at Infosys.

Based out of Mumbai, the firm is playing a pivotal role in providing their clients with the finest financial platform to create a smart way of lending or borrowing money in a transparent way.

“The peer to peer (P2P) marketplace is a very interesting place and with the way that the internet population is growing it would be extremely beneficial for both the lending and borrowing fraternity. Kumar also mentioned that his agenda to start off with would be to help the platform reach out to more and more consumers as well as potential investors and promote peer to peer (P2P) lending as an alternative banking channel.

The company has already raised a total seed funding of USD 1 million and is in active discussion with several HNI Home Offices and VC’s for raising Pre-Series A funding. PaisaDukan is serving both salaried and self-employed individuals and soon will be coming up with the first in class product offering for working capital loan and bill discounting.
