The second wave of Covid-19 pandemic has exposed the Indian health system very badly. People are crying for basic medical help in India. The country is facing an acute shortage of oxygen, hospital beds, and medicines. The country that is the home to the largest vaccine manufacturer firm in the world, also facing a covid vaccine shortage. Thousands of people are dying every day in India. Forget about hospitals, people are also not finding a place for body cremation.
How TrulyMadly’s Matchmaking Feature will Help?
Talking about the objective of launching this feature, TrulyMadly’s CEO and Co-founder Snehil Khanor said:
“The second wave of the pandemic has severely affected the country and despite the information being available, it is largely unverified or dated in nature and only adding to the information overload. We decided to use the underlying technology of our matchmaking engine for couples to also help COVID-19 patients meet the right plasma donor.”
TrulyMadly is helping the people since last year by its Corona Clusters initiative. This platform provides verified, crowdsourced data, helped people learn important pandemic-related information, in real-time.
The online platform is linked to other verified sources including state-wise COVID-19 helpline numbers, WHO and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC’s) latest COVID-19 protocols and guidance, as well as a global tracker that tracks infected and recovered numbers, worldwide.
On average, India is reporting around 3.5 lakhs covid positive cases every day. Covid testing labs and related hospitals have an advanced booking for testing. Generally, people are getting their turn in 3 or 4 days after registering for the covid test.
For India, Help is pouring from all corner of the world. Saudi Arabia, France, UK, the USA, Singapore, Pakistan and other countries have sent oxygen, ventilators, medicines, medical equipment, ambulances etc for India.
India lacked in planning against the corona fight. The country did not care about its people. It was more focused on shipping the vaccine to other countries. As per government data, India has exported 66 million doses of corona vaccine globally. April 22 was the last day when it sent the latest vaccine shipment to Paraguay. On the same day, the country recorded the biggest spike in covid cases.
