Unacademy is on an acquisition spree. Today, the edtech startup has acquired Handa ka Funda, an online coaching institute related to banking and MBA preparation. Ravi Handa, founder of Handa ka Funda, will join Unacademy leadership for future activities. Ravi also said that Unacademy will help the startup to reach a large number of audiences. The current move will help Unacademy to establish itself in the field of MBA preparation.
How Handa ka Funda will Help Unacademy?
In the latest acquisition news, Unacademy has taken full control of Handa ka Funda, an institute known for CAT preparation. Ravi Handa has established his online learning startup as one of the best places to crack the MBA entrance exam.
Handa founded Handa Ka Funda in 2012. It offers various online courses related to banking exams and MBA preparation. The startup has a network of 20,000 students who joined the firm for different courses.
Through his official tweeter handle, on Tuesday, Handa informed everyone about the acquisition deal between his startup and Unacademy.
He praised Unacademy for it’s an unbelievable strong network of students. Handa feels that the startup will gain a lot of students due to Unacademy. Handa will provide online live classes on Youtube and targets 1 lakh students via free youtube teaching. Students can also choose Unacademy plus courses if they are interested.
Unacademy has established itself as a well-known edtech startup in India. To strengthen its base, the startup has recently joined hands with Ex cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. As per the strategic partnership conditions, Sachin will promote Unacademy to gain more users. Sachin will also work as the content creator on the Unacademy platform. He will take online classes related to his area. Students can get a lot of motivation from their successful journey in the cricket field.

Recent Acquisitions by Unacademy
In January, Unacademy joined hands with GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam teacher Ravindrababu Ravula. He will join Unacademy as an exclusive teaching partner. Ravula founder Eduservices, an online platform for GATE preparation.
Now, Ravula will provide free lectures on GATE preparation through the Unacademy platform from January 14. GATE aspirants can join the Unacademy plus courses for further study.
Unacademy did not comment anything on the latest acquisition deal with Handa ka Funda. No financial details are revealed by any involved party.
In the Indian Edtech ecosystem, Unacademy is competing with Vedantu and Byju. These three startups have acquired most of the small players to strengthen their offerings.
Current collaboration with Handa ka Funda will bring an upper edge for Unacademy course offerings. They were missing a known face related to MBA coaching.
