It is acquisition season. Companies are either ready to buy or sell. VerSe, the parent company of Dailyhunt and Josh, has acquired a second company within 2 weeks. Earlier, it acquired Artificial Intelligence(AI) startup Cognirel Technologies. Now, it has acquired Vebbler, a photo, and video sharing platform. This acquisition will help Dailyhunt’s short video platform Josh to grow more.
About the current Acquisition Deal
VerSe Innovation, the digital and social media unicorn, has announced that it has acquired Vebbler but did not share the financial details. The company plans to make more strong bond with its customer through the new acquisition. On February 23, it had a 100% stake in Cognirel Technologies.
VerSe Innovation founders Virendra Gupta and Umang Bedi released a joint statement related to the Vebbler acquisition. They said:
“The combination of Vebbler’s product capabilities with our platform will improve our ability to drive innovation around camera and social engagement, and play a more meaningful role in capturing the mindshare, timeshare, and revenue share of Bharat’s local language users.”
About VerSe and Vebbler
VerSe is developing itself as the leading firm for local languages in India. It is releasing different content for these local languages.

Vebbler, founded by Sahil Bhagat, provides a platform to share photos/videos by joining different clubs. These clubs are based on your interests like business, fashion, entertainment, travel, etc. The platform has 100+ categories. Vebbler provides a camera tool to create these contents. The camera includes advanced AI features like neural art filters, stickers, gifs, special effects, video editing, etc.
Talking about the acquisition deal, Sahil said:
“In VerSe Innovation’s vision, we find strategic synergies between Josh and Vebbler. This deal speaks volumes to the value and quality of our product.”
In the initial days, Vebbler found support from Bollywood actor Dino Morea and Nikhil Chinnappa. It was initially designed to share photos/videos privately in real-time events like marriages, parties, holidays, etc. Later, it became an interest-based network in 2018.
VerSe joined the unicorn club in December with strong supports from big giants like Google, Microsoft, Qatar Investment, and others.
