  • Seems like Indians have got their most preferred SUV.
  • MG Hector has been a blockbuster hit for the company, selling around 3000 units every month.
  • Since its launch in India, the carmaker has sold approx. 20000 units.

MG Hector seems to be a new hype in India. While the overall automobile market seems to be a little weary, the Indian rider has got one of the best SUVs of 2020 in India

With MG Hector crossing 50000 bookings mark, the carmaker is now a strong contender in one of India’s best SUVs of 2020 in India

MG Hector has recently introduced Hector BS6 petrol in India for an introductory price of  ₹12.73 lakh. The top model of Hector BS6 petrol comes at a mind whopping cost of ₹ 17.55 lakh.

How Can Hector Be India’s Best SUVs of 2020 in India?

MG Hector’s journey in India is not as old as other car makers. Last year in June the company entered the Indian and it didn’t take much time for the company to attract riders towards its showroom.

Talking about its specifications and features for Hector’s SUV, it’s loaded with options. It comes in 5 different colors. It seems like MG Hector does not want to give any chance of Indian riders walking out of the showroom without keys to their favorite SUV.

Talking about the engine, MG Hector comes with the option of both – petrol and diesel variants. There’s also a hybrid variant on sale that pairs the petrol vehicle with 48 Volt electric peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Wait, there is more! MG Hector also comes with a 7-inch colored MID and 10.4-inch HD touchscreen AVN system. It also features next-gen iSMART connectivity technology.

MG Hector also comes with other value-added benefits like power-adjustable seats, electronic parking brake, and 360-degree camera and cruise control.

Don’t forget the fact that MG Hector is said to be India’s first internet car.

But MG Is Not THE BEST SUVs of 2020 in India!

There are contenders as well. Kia Motors – another new entrant in India is still enjoying a maximum number of bookings. Kia has already got orders for around 1.20 lakh units of Seltos in the last 5 months according to sources.

Seltos is also one strong contender in being the best SUVs of 2020 in India The car comes between ₹ 9.89 lakh and ₹16.29 lakhs and is available in 8 trims both in petrol and diesel and comes with BS6 compliant.

“The Hector continues its strong momentum in the Indian market crossing the 50000 marks in terms of bookings received in just 8 months since its launch. With plans to launch the Hector Plus 6-seater family version in Q3 2020, we aim to further strengthen the Hector brand in India” – Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer MG Hector.

The games get even tough as other carmakers are also rolling out its SUV version after taking BS-VI guidelines duly into consideration.  With MG Hector’s continuous plans to accelerate the momentum by opening new brand outlets closers to prospective customers in TI & T-II cities.

Ending Note:

With MG Hector and Kia Motors, we have 2 strong contenders as the best SUVs of 2020 in India The year has just started and we have a long way to go. But currently, with MG Hector crossing 50000 bookings, the SUV game is more serious, strong and even more competitive.

Other conglomerates are yet to inject their models as contenders for best SUVs in 2020, it will be an interesting watch. It will be an interesting watch because the entire sector’s present scenario seems to be grotesque but on the other hand, there are some car makers who are doing much more than what was expected from them.

On behalf of Next Big Brand, we congratulate MG Hector for crossing 50000 bookings mark. We will be delighted to see MG Hector moving up the ladder of best SUVs in 2020.
