WittyFeed launches WittyVerse on the occasion of its fifth anniversary. Bringing five fictional characters and shows to the public, WittyVerse will appeal for five different categories. Every series will be presented with its own quirky character, where each character will provide non-fictional content (information) in its own characteristic, conversational and witty style.

WittyVerse will be presenting web shows that cover categories such as entertainment–Bollywood, entertainment–OTT, health and fitness, business and finance. Characters such as Bubbly, Montu Dealer, Nicky AIMS, Raja Beta and Frustrated Guy will talk about ongoing issues in their own interactive and engaging way.

While talking to Next Big Brand about their new project, Vinay Singhal, co-founder and CEO WittyFeed, said, “WittyVerse is a simple project to fill the gap created in the new age media. The characters of WittyVerse are from the day-to-day life of today’s generation which you can relate with. We are trying to create a universe that will deliver the humor with information. Terming it as ‘Useful Entertainment’, WittyVerse will market the content which will have the information such as provided by Lallantop and entertainment as provided by TVF or Filtercopy.”

WittyFeed has constantly observed content consumption habits and experienced a major shift in the youth’s behavior in content consumption. Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns are the next billion to access the internet, who may not know how to read but watch and listen at all times. Therefore, voice and video are the drivers of new content. Today’s youth prefer a vertical video that aligns with the mobile, allowing them to consume content at their own convenience and check what’s going on around them. Taking this into account, WittyVerse aims to cater across vertical-video format to youth content.

WittyFeed is aimed to provide Useful Entertainment to its audience, said Vinay Singhal, Co-Founder, WittyFeed.

Describing the characters, Mr. Singhal explained if you talk about Nicky AIMS, she’s a medical student who will talk about medical remedies and first aid in an entertaining way. Same way 5th character to be introduced soon will be an engineer who will rant about things going on and you will relate to him.

He believes that in the next 1-2 years WittyVerse will be similar to Marvel but with common Indian superheroes from your daily life. Wittyverse is a smart move given the changing video content space and changing content consumption behavior.

WittyFeed was founded by college friends  Shashank Vaishnav and the Singhal brothers — Vinay and Parveen in September 2014 which started out of Bangalore and went on the become one of the largest viral content websites in India.

We at Next Big Brand wishes all the best to Mr. Vinay Singhal and team WittyFeed for their new universe.
