Xiaomi’s Mi India sold 5 Million smartphones through mi.com, Amazon, and Flipkart in festive sales.
As part of the festive sales on its website, the Great Indian Shopping Festival on Amazon, and The Big Billion Days on Flipkart, which were held between October 15 and October 21, the brand said it sold 5 million smartphones.
During this time, over 15,000 brand retail partners across the country also doubled their revenue, Mi India said in an official release on Friday.
“It is amazing to see retailers and partners come together during these extraordinary times, putting their best foot forward,” said Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Mi India.
For us, this festive season was the best shopping season. “We are especially grateful to our retail family who has come together to help us achieve this milestone this season,” Reddy said.
During the sales, the company launched numerous deals across these channels. At Rs 44,999 and Rs 49,999, variants of its flagship Mi 10 phone were available. Discounts on the Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, and Redmi Note 9 Pro were also offered. Axis Bank and Bank of Baroda have collaborated with Mi India to provide discounts and cashback for the sale of ‘Diwali With Mi’ on Mi.com.

During the festive sales, which will account for over 60 percent of total projected sales for October-December, e-commerce firm Flipkart and Amazon are likely to sell over 2.5 crore smartphones in the country, market research firm Techarc said on Wednesday.
Overall, it said, 12.8 crore smartphones are expected to be sold in India in 2020.
The company predicts that in the last quarter of 2020, around 4.1 crore smartphones will be sold.
“The total estimated smartphone shipments for the year are updated at 128 million units, compared to the previous estimates of 127 million released in June. During the festive sales season, Flipkart and Amazon estimated that they will sell 25 million smartphones, which is 60.1 percent of the total estimated sales for the quarter of October-December,” the report said.
